01.03.2022 - GuideStar generation 1.0 APIs are decommissioned

For active users of GuideStar generation 1.0 APIs, hosted at https://data.guidestar.org/ —

Starting on January 1st, 2022, we have officially decommissioned GuideStar's Generation 1.0 APIs including:

  • AdvSearch v1
  • Charity Check v1, v2, v3 (Gen 1.0)
  • Charity Check PDF v1, v2, v3 (Gen 1.0)
  • Detail v1
  • Exchange v1, v2, v3, v4
  • Simplify v1
  • Search v1.1

Note: Schools v1 API is still supported at this time

All active users have been notified about this planned decommission, starting in November of 2020. If you are an active user of Generation 1.0 APIs and did not receive appropriate communications about this decommission, please reach out to your Candid account representative and/or email mailto:[email protected] to ensure your account remains active and is approved for extension. You will still need to upgrade to our newest Candid APIs to ensure your application(s) continues to work.

If you have been approved for an extension beyond January 1st, 2022, your account will remain active until your migration is complete.
